Wicked father burns 7-year-old son with hot pressing iron for stealing mom’s food
Godstime Ategho is facing possible jail time for physically assaulting his seven-year-old son.
The 29-year-old father allegedly placed a hot pressing iron on the boy’s skin.
Ategho accused the little boy of stealing food, which was meant for his mother. He also refused to take him for treatment at the hospital.
He was brought before an FCT High Court, Apo, on a count charge of willful infliction of physical injury, today.
The prosecutor, Mr. Jaafaru Ayitogo, told the court that Ategho committed the alleged offence in November 2017.
Justice Idris Kutigi granted Ategho bail on personal recognition and adjourned the case until May 17, for hearing.
