‘We Dey Hungry Bad Bad’ – Anti-End Bad Governance Protesters Speak Out
As the nationwide #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protests kick off today, hundreds of youths have gathered in Abuja to counter the movement. Armed with “No Protest” placards, they voiced opposition to any demonstrations against President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
When asked about their motives, one youth candidly replied, “O boy, make we collect the one we see first. We dey hungry bad bad”.
Upon further questioning, a group of five admitted receiving N5,000 each to join the anti-protest, citing financial gain as their primary reason.

Some anti-protesters were thrilled about the convoy ride to the city center with a security escort. It was also that each of the eight hired Coaster buses cost N80,000, with drivers receiving N40,000 upfront and the remaining balance after the demonstration.
Smaller groups in trucks drove around Abuja, using megaphones to chant “No Protest” and singing “Na je je we de go, je je.” Meanwhile, some state governments have warned citizens to stay indoors to avoid getting caught up in potential violence.
