WATCH: “Dapchi girls are safe in their abductors’ custody” – Mama Boko Haram
Over a week after the kidnap of 110 schoolgirls in Dapchi, Aisha Wakil, fondly called Mama Boko Haram, has claimed to have been contacted by the Boko Haram sect who abducted the girls.
In a recent interview, she said the abducted schoolgirls are safe with Habib, whom she called her son.
According to the human rights activist, the Barnawi faction of the deadly insurgent group contacted her and informed her that they have the abducted schoolgirls in their custody.
She added that Nigerians have nothing to fear concerning the overall well-being of the pupils.
The former member of the Dialogue and Peaceful Resolution of Security Challenges Committee in the northern region, set up during the President Goodluck Jonathan era, maintained that the abductors confirmed to her that the girls were safe, healthy and in good condition.
