Vitor Pereira set to become Wolves coach, agreement in place

Wolvehampton are in the running to sign a new manager after sacking Gary O’Neil.

O’Neil was sacked after a torrid run of results, with the 2-1 loss to Ipswich the last straw that broke the camel’s back.

The result has seen them languishing in 19th position on the table.

The club seeking to turn their season around have made contact with Al shabab coach, Vitor Pereira and an agreement has been made to bring the Portuguese to the Molineux Stadium in a deal worth around one million euros.

Pereira’s contract is expected to run for 18 months should he change the current situation at the midlands.

The Portuguese tactician built a reputation for himself after winning two Primeira Liga titles with Porto in 2011-12 and 2012-13 and the Greek Super League with Olympiakos in 2014-15.

The 56-year-old’s first game could be against Leicester on Sunday should he sign the contract early after negotiations went smoothly.
