Hungarian police and refugees clashed Wednesday afternoon at the border with Serbia.
Police fired water cannons and CS gas at refugees as they tried to breach the fence at the Horgos border crossing.
Hungary closed the border at midnight Monday, forcing refugees to cross at two transit zones.
Croatia now allows the free passage of migrants after Hungary seals its borders.
But Craotian authorities warn there are still two square kilometres of active land mines on the Serbo-Croatian border.
Let’s hope we don’t wake up to the news of migrants being blown to shreds.
