Victim of Adamawa herdsmen rampage buried as her village mourns

35-year-old Jemila Godfrey who was killed by Fulani herdsmen last week has been laid to rest amidst tears from her family and friends. Like a few other women in the community, she was killed while trying to flee from the attacking herdsmen.
There has been a higher death of women and children among women among those killed as they tried to flee.
The International Crisis Group (ICG), a Brussels-based think tank, said in September that some 2,500 people were killed and tens of thousands were forced from their homes last year; such attacks are becoming as potentially dangerous as the Boko Haram insurgency in the northeast
