Truck crushes motorcycle rider to death in Ogun
Tragedy struck at Ifo, on the Lagos- Abeokuta Expressway, in the early hours of Monday as a commercial motorcyclist was crushed to death in an accident involving two trucks and a Mercedes Benz car.
The spokesperson of the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, Babatunde Akinbiyi confirmed to NAN that the incident happened when a driver of a Iveko truck lost control of the vehicle and crushed the motorcycle against the two vehicles which were parked indiscriminately on the road following an accident Sunday night.
The motorcyclist was said to have died on the spot.
“The accident happened around 5 am at the Old Bank road in Ifo inward Abeokuta,” Akinbiyi said.
The spokesman added that the Iveco truck driver, as well as other vehicles and motorcycle involved in the incident, had been moved to Ifo Divisional Police Command.
