This man makes N30,000 a day just by keeping his nails

Ever imagined keeping your nails can fetch you money? Because that’s this man’s main source of income.
As absurd as it may sound, John Waweru, the man supposedly with the longest nails in Africa, makes good cash just from keeping and showing them off.
The 34-year-old Kenyan has been growing the nails on his left hand since July 2002, and they have now grown to over 30cm long.
He claims the nails are his major source of income, earning him between KSh 2,000 and KSh 10,000 a day (equivalent to N6,219 and N31,099) just by being at places of interest, where tourists pay him money just to take pictures with him.

With this money, he has built a four-bedroom house and even opened a nail salon.
In an effort to keep the nails – and source of income – from cutting off, he has restrained from doing any chore that could possibly cause harm to his precious nails.
Waweru hopes to make it into the Guinness Book of Records someday. For now, he will have to settle with the record for world’s longest nails belonging to India’s Shridhar Chillal.
