TAIWO SAGA: Nigerian woman jilted by man she sent to school
What if you awoke this morning to discover the love of your life, the person for whom you sacrificed a fortune, married someone else behind your back?
Shalom Miriam Shehu, if her story is true, knows how you would feel.
Miriam said Taiwo, her fiancé of three years, loved someone else and didn’t think about telling her about it.
“I found out on Instagram this morning that my fiance for three years had done his traditional wedding last weekend,” a heartbroken Miriam tweeted, Wednesday.
“I paid for his M.Sc in Kingston. I gave him everything he wanted. Taiwo you have destroyed me.
“You wanted me to quit my practice in Tel Aviv and come back to Nigeria against my parent’s wishes. I was ready to do that for you.
“What will I do with my life now? You have taken love away from me. You have shamed me.
“You got married on Saturday and still had the guts to call me and tell me you love me,” she tweeted.
She then went on to rain curses on “wicked Taiwo”.
“You don’t deserve happiness,” she said.
“You don’t deserve love. Taiwo, it will never be well with you. I am so heartbroken.
“Some of you men are monsters,” she said.
It is not yet clear if Miriam is the one whose heart Taiwo broke. The identity of the wicked heartbreaker is also unknown at the moment.
