Starting from March, Chinese women can go on “Menstrual leave”

From the 1st day in March 2016, a new labour legislation allowing female employees to take menstrual leave will take effect in Anhui Province, east China.
The regulation, giving between one to two days menstrual leave, also allows a minimum of 15 days for women who undergo abortions and requires employers to provide nursery rooms as part of the essential facilities at the workplace.
In addition, it bans employers from treating female employees unfairly because of their gender.
The regulation has won many over in China and some are already calling for its replication in other provinces.
However, a few have also raised questions about the rationality of some of the rules, CCTV reports.
Questions like: How do the women go to a hospital to obtain proof they are in pain which is needed to qualify for the menstrual leave?
Some others have expressed worry that the regulation might backfire as many employers might be reluctant to hire women..
