SAD: Nigerian journalist Felix Okugbe loses battle to cancer
Veteran sports journalist Felix Okugbe is dead.
Okugbe passed on, Saturday morning, after a prolonged battle with cancer.
Prior to his death, Okugbe was Head of Sport, DAAR Communications and Ray Power.

He, however, had been battling with cancer for quite a while.
He lost that battle at the Lagos State Teaching Hospital on Saturday morning.
Okugbe was also, until his death, the CEO of Mundial Sport International.
BBC sports journalist Kayode Tijani eulogised Okugbe in a touching Facebook post…
REST IN PEACE FELIX OKUGBE:
We want you here more but God knows you have to rest, the pain was too much for decades, interestingly Felix was his normal self as he and Wole Opatola did what they know best at Brazil 2014 World Cup, we all moved together recording the real behind the scenes, he was like the Real Mr Futbol Mundial. No Nigerian Sports Journalist traveled as much as Felix, Mr Courageous, he was the scourge of Foreign embassies when they treated Nigerian Journalists with scorn, very Courageous. It must be said that some people really silently tried all in their power to save Felix though they don’t want it known in public. Our Role Model , my beautiful Aunty AISHA FALODE does not want it known but she performed miracles raising Money for the Local and foreign Hospital Bills, Chief RAYMOND DOKPESI was always there for him and paid his way to England and operations, and financial needs through Felix worst moment, Oga FRANK ILABOYA was there all the way and a Big Super eagles Player (HE INSISTS HE DOES NOT WANT IT KNOWN) who donated Millions in Naira, they tried and others too but to God be the Glory, Felix death was predestined but absolutely PAINFUL.
