Ukraine attack Moscow with “biggest drone strike” since 2022
Russia’s capital, Moscow, has been hit by Ukraine’s biggest drone attacks since the start of the war in 2022. The Regional Governor of Moscow, Andrei Vorobyov, described the incident as a massive attack
Three major airports, including its busiest, Sheremetyevo International Airport, have been shut down due to the attack. Two homes in Stanovoye, 15 miles southeast of Moscow, were set ablaze after the attack.
However, the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that 34 drones were intercepted and destroyed, Russia’s Ministry of Defense confirmed.
This wave of attack came after Russian President Vladimir Putin signed into law a pact with North Korea Saturday night, obliging the two countries to provide immediate military aid using “all means” if either is attacked.
The agreement marks the strongest link between Moscow and Pyongyang since the end of the Cold War.
Before the strike against Moscow on Sunday, Russia had, previously, launched 145 Shahed drones and other strike drones against the southern region of Odesa of Ukraine on Saturday night.
