Robbers attack First Bank in Niger State, kill police officers and banker
Two police officers and a banker were killed yesterday during a robbery attack by a gang of armed robbers in Lapai, Niger state
They were said to have entered the town through Lapai-Gulu road in a convoy of two vehicles.
According to witnesses, the robbers abducted the manager of First Bank during the robbery that lasted well over one hour.
The robbers were said to have carted away an undisclosed amount of cash in Ghana-must-go bags through Lapai-Paiko road.
Reinforced joint team of Military and police were seen chasing after the fleeing robbers but it was not clear whether they were able to apprehend them.
