Punch reporter bounces back to Aso villa

Recall, Olalekan Adewale a punch correspondent attached to the presidency was sent packing by the CSO of the president over allegations of a story published on the punch. 

The story tagged.. “Fresh Anxiety At Aso Rock Over Buhari’s Health”, was published on Sunday. The reports suggested that the story had angered the president and after questioning the reporter, he was asked to leave. 

Well, barely after 10 hours of the reporter’s sacking from the Aso villa, he was recalled. 

This disclosure was confirmed by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, in a message addressed to the Chairman of the State House Press Corps, Malam Ubale Musa.

The presidential spokesman revealed that the recall of Adetayo followed the intervention of the Director-General of the Department for State Services (DSS), Lawal Daura.

According to him, his office and that of the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity will resolve the issue on Tuesday.
