Prince William to Attend Notre Dame Reopening in Paris, Meet with Trump and Jill Biden
Prince William, the heir to the British throne, will represent the UK at the highly anticipated reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris this Saturday. The cathedral, severely damaged by a fire in 2019, has since undergone extensive restoration, and the ceremony marks a significant milestone in its revival.
Kensington Palace confirmed that Prince William will meet with U.S. President-Elect Donald Trump and outgoing First Lady Jill Biden while in Paris. This will be a key part of his visit, with the prince set to hold meetings with both figures during his time in the French capital.

The Prince of Wales will join approximately 40 world leaders at the historic event, including heads of state and government, all gathered to commemorate the reopening of the iconic Parisian landmark.
Prince William’s last encounter with Trump was during a state visit to the UK in 2019, while his most recent official trip to Paris was in 2017, alongside his wife, Princess Catherine. This visit follows a period of reflection on the Brexit results. However, Princess Catherine will not be accompanying William this time, as she has been gradually resuming public duties after being diagnosed with cancer earlier this year. King Charles III, meanwhile, is undergoing cancer treatment.
Earlier this year, Prince William joined his father and other global leaders in Normandy to mark D-Day commemorations, a ceremony attended by Jill Biden, the wife of U.S. President Joe Biden.
