The Presidency has accused PDP of engaging in personal attacks against President Buhari.
As the elections get closer, opposition parties, especially the PDP have been vocal in their criticism of President Buhari and his administration, but Garba Shehu, the senior special assistant on media and publicity to the president has condemned the attacks, saying that they cross the line in democracy and unacceptable.
“A call for disobedience to government is a call to anarchy and should not be called opposition politics,” Shehu said.
“For years, the PDP had been a bastion of corruption and impunity and it is difficult for them to change from their rentier way of life in the nation’s affairs. But change has come, and has come to stay.”
