Pope Francis: Mixed reactions trail Papal call to Europe's Catholics on refugee crisis
”May every parish, every religious community, every monastery, every sanctuary in Europe host a family – starting with my diocese of Rome.”
That was the clarion call Pope Francis made to all Catholic parishes and religious communities over in Europe on Sunday.

The Pope said the Vatican will host two refugee families.
People have been reacting to the move. The reactions are not all positive.
We found a story The Independent did on the Pope’s call. Here are the comments people posted in the comment section.
Larry Saltzman: An important symbolic act by the Pope. Europe and North America should follow with large scale admissions for refugees.
Oldwease: And I suppose priests will also take a lot of children (This commentor seemed worried migrant kids could be sexually abused).
Steve Hill: So the state of Germany is admitting 800,000; the state of Turkey two million to date and counting; the state of Britain 216 (pathetic); and the state of the Vatican is generously admitting two families? What is the Pope crowing about here?
Muggerbe: Instead of slagging off people who are prepared to help, perhaps you would like to tell everyone what you’ve done. Oh, nothing?
…and that’s all we would take. Anyways, the comments may not be as important as how Europe-based Catholics will respond to the Papal charge.
