Police prosecutes woman for brutally killing two-year-old boy in Lagos
A woman accused of killing a two-year-old boy has been prosecuted at the Ebutte Meta Magistrate court by the Lagos state Police Command.
The suspect, Chinenye Ndubuife is said to have murdered one Wisdom Promise by hitting a stone on his head in the afternoon of December 12, 2018.
The incident which took place at No. 70 Lawman Street in the Olodi-Apapa area of Lagos, got the police involved as they vowed to ensure that justice is served.
Reading out the charge to her, the police added that the offence contravened the law.
It further read in part; “That you Chinenye Ndubuife, on December 12, 2018, around 1pm at No. 70 Lawani Street, Olodi-Apapa, Lagos in the Lagos State Magisterial District, did kill one Wisdom Promise, aged two years, by hitting him with a stone on his head, thereby committing an offence contrary to Section 222 and punishable under Section 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
After the charges were established, A.O Komofe, the magistrate presiding over the case adjourned the hearing to January 30.
He ordered that the suspect be remanded in prison custody, pending advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
