After vandals carried out arson attacks on France’s high-speed train network just hours before the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics 2024, the games kicked off with a beautiful and memorable ceremony.

The ceremony, which began on the evening of Friday, July 26, 2024, marked the start of the 128th Olympics competition since the event debuted in ancient Greece.

American singer-songwriter Lady Gaga was the first to kickstart the ceremony with an electrifying pre-recorded performance.

Wearing a dazzling all-black outfit adorned with feathers, the superstar mesmerized hundreds of thousands with her performance.

Another stunning show followed when 80 artists from the Moulin Rouge performed the iconic dance that dates back to the 1820s.
