Panic as Nigerian soldier is kidnapped in Calabar

A member of the Nigerian Army Headquarters Boat Company at the 222 Battalion in Cross Rivers State has been reportedly kidnapped by unknown persons.

The soldier, Private Lawal Musa, who took permission from his Commanding Officer to go to a First Bank on Calabar Way was reportedly taken away by his abductors at about 9a.m on Thursday.

According to Sahara Reporters, several attempts to reach Musa after the CO became worried about his whereabouts proved abortive as his phone was switched off, until persistent calls later yielded a response from one of his abductors who simply said, “Your guy is with us”.
