Ondo: Local Government Chairman slumps and dies in hotel room
The Chairman of Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State, Agunola Omomowo has reportedly slumped and died at a hotel in the state early Friday morning.
Omomowo died after attending a political meeting, according to Sahara Reporters.
A source told the publication that Omomowo, popular among his political supporters as Adoration, was pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital in the area.
The death had thrown workers in the local government council area into mourning, reports say.
In celebration of his 100 days in office in September 2016, Omomowo highlighted as his achievement, the commission of projects such as: Public toilet at Igbokoda, Marine police post at Idiogba, Marine mobile clinic, ambulance, and distribution of exercise books to primary pupils.
