Obasa Re-Elected as Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly

In a significant political development, Mudashiru Obasa has been re-elected as the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly. Obasa, who represents Agege Constituency I, reclaimed his position on Monday following the resignation of Mojisola Meranda.

Meranda, who had stepped down as Speaker, paved the way for a fresh leadership vote, leading to Obasa’s swift return to the helm. His re-election was backed by a nomination from Noheem Adams, a former Majority Leader of the House and the representative of Eti-Osa Constituency I.
