Nigerian “cultist” on the run after allegedly snapping bossom friend’s neck
Watch your back. A suspected killer cultist is at large…and let’s hope he doesn’t show up in your neighbourhood.
Anu Olokodana, and his alleged co-cultists, boarded their flight into thin air after reportedly snapping the neck of a friend who refused to “belong.”
It was reported that Adeleke Awosiga who despite having “cultist” friends had refused to become a cult member, probably sealed his deadly fate after allegedly having an altercation with one of the girlfriends of his cultist “goons.”
During an all-night birthday party at Isheri area of Lagos on June 13, Awosiga wanted to dance with Rashida Oponmiga who shunned him off because “you are not one of us,” reports say.
“One of the cult members, Iyanu Liasu, slapped Awosiga for asking Rashida for a dance and this led to a fight between Liasu and Awosiga,” a witness told local media.
One thing led to another and Awosiga ended up a dead man.
Adeyemi Awosiga, the deceased father said he was “told that the celebrants and the cult members pounced on my son and held him while one Liasu twisted his neck.”
“They later pushed him into the hotel swimming pool and they fled thereafter,” he said.
It was initially reported that Anu Olokodana drowned Awosiga in the swimming pool. An emotional twist to the sad story is that Awosiga and Olokodana are alleged lifelong friends.
Let’s hope the police will step up to the occasion and get this resolved. Two members of the gang are already in police custody while the rest remain at large.
Police say they are working round the clock to apprehend the remaining suspects.
