Nigeria Customs seize N3 million worth of Indian hemp in Ogun State

The Nigeria Customs Service (NSC) has intercepted N3 million worth of Indian hemp popularly called marijuana or “pot” or “weed”.
It’s called “igbo” in Yoruba language.
The substance was handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) as part of inter-agency collaboration.
“Ogun Customs Area Command handed over 122 parcels of neatly packaged substance suspected to be Indian hemp to officials of NDLEA,” NCS said in a statement on Saturday.
“The suspected substance were seized along Ayetoro/Imeko axis of the command. They are valued at N3,050,000. They weigh 137.8kg.”
