Moyinoluwa: 19-year-old schoolgirl snatched by motorbike rider
A Nigerian teenager has been kidnapped with her abductors apparently playing the silence game, her father and a police source say.
Moyinoluwa, 19, was returning to her home in Owo, Ondo State, last Friday when a motorbike-riding man reportedly snatched her.
The girl boarded the motorbike to withdraw money from the bank. It is believed that the bike rider kidnapped her.
Abdulkareem, the girl’s father, and the police say they do not know the identity of the suspected kidnapper.
The teenager’s father said her daughter’s mystery kidnapper called once but didn’t demand for ransom.
“Up till now, I have not heard from her again and her abductor has not demanded for any ransom”, Abdulkareem told Daily Post.
A police source said the suspected kidnapper is probably trying to use silence to make the girl’s family uneasy before demanding a huge ransom.
An Owo Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Mr. Oluwole Fabiyi, said it wanted the girl’s family to provide more details about the alleged kidnapping so the police could swing into action..
