Man stabs customer to death over N200 beer in Ogun
A 23-year-old man has been arrested in Ogun for allegedly stabbing a customer to death over a bottle of beer.
The suspect, Taiwo Olatokunbo, had allegedly walked into a bar at Ijagun Ijebu Ode on Sunday and ordered a bottle of beer worth N200 but refused to pay.
In an ensuing scuffle between Taiwo and the shop owner, Temitope Adedayo, the deceased was said to have attempted to intervene.
That was when Taiwo allegedly picked a broken bottle and stabbed him in his elbow. Police arrived at the scene and arrested the suspect.
Christian died while receiving treatment at the hospital.
Police spokesman in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi said the suspect has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department and investigation was ongoing.
