Man, 57, arraigned for stealing toilet seats worth N85,000
A 57 year old man on Friday appeared before an Ojo Magistrates’ court for allegedly stealing 11 toilet seats worth N85,000.
Mr. Innocent Okereke innocent committed the crime on the 29th of July and was arrested by the bank security guard while trying to escape, the court heard.
According to the prosecutor, Insp. Simeon Uche, the accused,
Okeke was arraigned on a two-count offence of breaking into a building and stealing.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges levied against him.
The Magistrate, Mr. Titus Abolarinwa, however granted the accused a N100,000 bail with one surety of the same amount.
The hearing of the case is set to continue on the 24th of October 2016.
