This LASTMA officer will catch you before anyone can say “Jack Robinson”
There are funny stories of how they jump in front of moving vehicles to arrest “erring” drivers, “extort” money from “innocent” traffic law breakers and all sorts.
In the discharge of their duties, officers of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) have been known to go way above board.
And that’s exactly what this officer seemed to be doing at the Maryland Area of Lagos, Thursday morning.
Not content with the view from the sidewalk, he mounted the platform…yes, that round-about-structure where you have three Nigerian-map-lifting statues.
From that towering height, he was most certainly able to spot traffic law offenders from limbo. Talk about vision.
This officer, unlike the ones who seem overzealous in catching innocent drivers, is a true hero.
A citizen reporter who wants to remain anonymous forwarded the picture to us this morning.
