Lagos Police arrest two suspected traffic robbers
Two suspected traffic robbers allegedly terrorising residents and passersby at Mile 2 area of Lagos State have been arrested by the police.
David Mike Okon, 32, and Ibe Okonne, 27, were said to have been on the watchlist of the police for their notorious acts. There were apprehended on Saturday, August 11, while robbing a lady identified simply as Oluwatosin around Mile 2.
Police say they had succeeded in dispossessing the victim of her phone and other valuables before they were arrested by the police team from Area E Command, Festac town, who had noticed the uneasiness in the woman’s encounter with the suspects.
“The suspects in their statements to the police owned up to the crime while the stolen items have been returned to the owner,” police said in a statement on Tuesday.
