Lagos: Police arrest “Okada man” for riding on pedestrian bridge

The police in Lagos have arrested one Ayodeji Ijitola for riding his motorcycle on a foot bridge.
32-year-old Ijitola is a commercial motorcyclist in the Ikorodu Area of Lagos state.
He was, Friday, “around 1:30 pm by the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) along Ikorodu Road while driving a motorcycle (Okada) on a footbridge made for pedestrians at Irawo bus stop,” the squad said in a statement.
In the statement, the police said they were shocked by his effrontery as he was also riding his Okada in a restricted area.
His motorcycle has been impounded and transferred with the suspect to the state task force for prosecution..
