Kidney failure hasn’t killed Akpan, shortage of funds might
Godspower Akpan is supposed to be dead by now, according to doctors.
Both of his kidneys failed last year and doctors said he wouldn’t live beyond November 15, 2015.
But Godspower still lives as he undergoes treatment in Uyo following trips to the USA and India.
But it seems what kidney failure could not accomplish may be accomplished by shortage of funds.
“His faith is still strong and expectant for healing from God, but he has expressed financial need, support, and prayers for his day-to-day sustenance,” a friend wrote on the gofundme account set up for him.
The fund has raised $1,625 in eight days. That’s just about 25 percent of the $5,000 target.
