Kenya: Man chops off manhood because “bible told him so”
A man, to the shock of residents of a Kenyan community, severed his penis on Thursday.
He reportedly cut his penis and threw it to a dog, as “it was of no use to him.”
The unidentified man was said to be a worker at a quarry and never interacted with residents.
Residents were reportedly attracted to the man’s one-room apartment when his screams filled the neighbourhood.
He was seen cutting off his manhood with a knife, after he had tried to do so with a razor.
Help reportedly came the man’s way after about 30 minutes of heavy bleeding, and he was taken to Naivasha subcounty hospital.
According to a resident, Joseph Chege, the man inflicted the pain on himself because “the Bible ordered him to discard any body part that would deter him from entering heaven.”
Chege told journalists the man was still able to munch on some bread with soda before police arrived to his rescue.
