JUST IN: Female shooter dead after shooting up YouTube office

A yet-to-be-identified female shooter has died after she shot up the YouTube office in San Bruno, California, Tuesday night.

Unconfirmed number of persons have been injured in the attack.

Several staff of the tech company tweeted about the attack after taking cover.

“Active shooter at YouTube HQ. Heard shots and saw people running while at my desk. Now barricaded inside a room with coworkers,” one staff, Lavrusik said.

Another staff tweeted: “I am behind another building with colleagues. There are helicopters. There are lots of police nearby. I don’t know if the shooter has been found. If you hear they’ve been found, tell me. I’m safe for now, but don’t feel safe until they’ve been found.”

Zuckerberg General Hospital told NBC News that it had received three patients and was expecting more, while Stanford Medical Center said it was expecting four or five patients.

Local police say the shooter may have died from self-inflicted gunshot wound.

San Bruno Police Chief Ed Barberini, speaking on the incident, said: “We have four victims who have all been transported for gunshot related injuries. We have one suspect who is deceased inside the building with a self-inflicted wound.”

Authorities don’t believe the shooting was an act of terrorism, but a case of domestic or workplace violence.
