EFCC arrests PDP’s Vice-Presidential candidate in 2023, Ifeanyi Okowa over alleged diversion of ₦1.3trn
The former Governor of Delta state, Ifeanyi Okowa, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Neusroom just gathered.
Okowa, who was the running mate of Atiku Abubakar under the flagship of the People’s Democratic Party during the 2023 Presidential elections in Nigeria is alleged to have diverted the sum of ₦1.3 trillion.
The sum is said to have been appropriated for oil-producing states in Nigeria.
The alleged diversion is said to have occured between 2015-2023 when Okowa served as Governor.
