INEC releases the timetable for the 2019 general elections

The Independent National Electoral Commision, the body charged with the responsibility of conducting elections in Nigeria, has released a schedule for the next election cycle in 2019.

Apart from Ekiti and Osun states whose elections do not fall within that cycle, the timeable covers every public office.

The following schedule were earmarked as INEC plan for the forthcoming general elections:

 Time table for Ekiti and Osun governorship elections:

The timetable and schedule of activities for the Ekiti & Osun Governorship elections will be released on Thursday next week.

Anambra election:

The 2017 #Anambradecides, is scheduled for 18th November, 2017. It is only 51 days away.

Political parties:

A record of number of 37 political parties have nominated candidates for the elections.

 General elections(#NigeriaDecides):
 The 2019 General Elections is exactly 505 days away from today.

The Presidential and National Assembly elections have been fixed for Saturday 16th February 2019

Continous voters’ registration:

So far, 2,786,405 citizens have registered in the ongoing exercise out of which 1,619,513 (58%) are Male while 1,166,892 (42%) are female.

Unclaimed PVCs and request for transfer:

108,752 unclaimed PVCs were collected. 132,431 requested for transfer while 261,429 requested for replacement of their PVCs.
