Incredible! Texas billionaire gives each of his 1,381 employees a $100,000 bonus
That’s almost N20 million for each employee.
Billionaire Jeff Hildebrand, CEO of Hilcorp, has handed out a $100,000 bonus to each and every one of his 1,381 employees.
Totalling $138,100,000, the bonus is reward for meeting a 5-year-goal to double the size of the Oil and Gas company.
Hildebrand and Hilcorp believe in the power of incentives.
In 2010, employees got to choose between a $50,000 car and $35,000 cash in reward for meeting a previous goal.
Hilcorp, presently the largest privately held oil company in America, has been named to Fortune’s “100 best companies to work for” 3 years in a row.
It’s CEO, Hildebrand, is said to be worth over $5 billion.
“Some days I just kind of look down the hall and say I can’t believe these are my bosses and they’re the best,” Amanda Thompson, a receptionist with the company said.
Amanda has been the receptionist at Hilcorp for 10 years and she said she along with all of her coworkers have a good reason to give it their all everyday.
