INCEST: Anambra church razed as teacher insists God told him to marry underage sister
Normalcy was disturbed after a church, Dwelling Fullness of God Church was set ablaze following the union between a school teacher, Chiadikobi Ezeibekwe and his sister.
The incident happened at Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Ezeibekwe was said to have married his 17-year-old sister, with claims that he was instructed by God to do so.
According to him, he had a revelation from God that he should marry his sibling, quoting Bible passages in Deuteronomy to illustrate that siblings could marry each other.
He said, “One advantage of doing this is that it discourages divorce. It also retains family values and norms.”
It was gathered that the wedding was conducted by Ezeibekwe’s elder brother, Chijioke Ezeibekwe, who is the priest of the church in Agba.
Justifying his marriage with his sibling, Ezeibekwe said he feels nothing bad about it and maintained that only God can stop him.
“I don’t feel guilty. I don’t feel ashamed. I don’t feel intimidated in any way. Only God can stop us,” he added.
