Imo building collapse: 3 escape, one dead, his corpse still trapped in rubble
A labourer at a construction site has died after the two-storey building he was working on collapsed.
Official sources say his body is still buried in the rubble.
The accident happened in Okwu Umuoma village in Owerri West Local Government Area, Imo State, on Friday.
Media aide to Imo State governor said the body of Ugo, the victim, had not been recovered from the rubble as at Saturday night.
Eyewitnesses said four workers were in the building when it crashed amid heavy rain.
Three of the workers made it out alive. Ugo never did.
The Imo State government said efforts are underway to retrieve his body from the rubble.
