Addressing reporters on election day, Aiyedatiwa praised the smooth execution of the electoral process and the peaceful atmosphere across the state. “I want to believe that victory will come my way. I have just cast my vote here in my unit, and the turnout has been very encouraging. It’s peaceful here, and I am confident the same will be true in other parts of Ondo State,” he said.

The APC candidate also commended the role of security agencies, including the police, civil defense, and military personnel, who were heavily deployed across the state to ensure a smooth and secure election. “Ondo State has been known as one of the safest and most peaceful states in Nigeria, and this election will be no different. Our citizens are law-abiding, and they know what they want,” Aiyedatiwa remarked.

In his statement, Aiyedatiwa emphasized the transparency and credibility of the election process, noting that he had gone through the necessary accreditation procedures at his polling unit without any issues. He expressed optimism that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) would maintain the same level of diligence across all voting locations.

Looking ahead to the outcome, Aiyedatiwa was upbeat about his chances, stressing that his extensive campaign across all 18 local government areas (LGAs) of the state sets him apart from other candidates. “I believe I am in pole position to win this election, not just because of my work in the last 10 months, but because I am the only candidate who personally visited all 18 LGAs during the campaign period,” he said.
