“I became possessed with the spirit of kidnapping babies after selling my child” – Suspect

After being arrested by operatives of the Osun State Police Command, Joy Esu, a suspected kidnapper has confessed to the kidnapping of an 18-month-old baby.

The 28-year-old kidnapped the toddler in Osogbo in connivance with one Sidney Onwuka.

Esu confessed that she has so far kidnapped six children. She said she sold her 4-year-old child, as well as five other children that she kidnapped, to her buyers.

She said she didn’t know what came over her after Sidney deceived her to sell her baby. Esu added that since she sold her kid, the spirit of selling babies came over her.

“I didn’t know what came over me. This man (Sidney) deceived me to sell my baby. Since then, spirit of selling babies came over me. He will send me to go and kidnap babies and I will go,” she said

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Fimihan Adeoye said the suspects would face the full wrath of the law.
