How Coca-Cola is responding to COVID-19 fight
Beverage giant, Coca-Cola, has also registered its name on the long list of corporate organisations responding to the global fight against COVID-19 pandemic.
The company announced that is is committing $120 million to support COVID-19 relief efforts across the world. Aside the donation, it will also be halting all of its commercial advertising and converting the funds towards supporting COVID-19.
“From April and until further notice, we’re putting commercial advertising for Coca-Cola and all our brands on hold. Our focus at this time is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our people and communities,” Coca-Cola said in a statement.
In addition to this, Coca-Cola is also working with its Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) Partners to provide support towards COVID-19 communication, provision of protective kits and drinks for health workers.
“We’re doing this because it is the right thing to do and because we know that by working together we can make a difference.” the beverage giant said.
