Hillary Clinton gives first speech since election loss to Donald Trump

Defeated presidential hopeful, Hillary Clinton has given her first public speech since losing to her Republican counterpart, Donald Trump.

Hillary addressed her supporters and staff on Wednesday after suffering the painful defeat, urging all to give the newly-elected President a chance.

“Last night, I congratulated Donald Trump and offered to work with him on behalf of our country,” an emotional Hillary said.

“I hope that he will be a successful president for all Americans.”

“We have seen that our nation is more deeply divided than we thought,” she said. “We owe him an open mind and the chance to lead.”

She thanked all her supporters and hailed Barack Obama and Michelle Obama as heroes whom America “owes.”
