February 6, 2017
Several Nigerians have thronged the streets in various parts of the country on Monday to protest against economic hardship.
Lagos, Abuja and Oyo are among the states in Nigeria that have recorded sizeable turnout in solidarity with the #IStandWithNigeria protests.
Protesters in Abuja converged at the Unity Fountain early Monday morning and proceeded to the Presidential villa at Aso Rock. Police have however denied them entry, forming a barricade at the State House.
The protesters continue to demonstrate.
