Gunmen Kidnap Two Students Near Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi – Police
Two students of Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi, Benue State, were reportedly abducted by gunmen late Tuesday night near the university’s campus.
According to Punch Newspaper, a student of the institution, Ashar Lubem, claimed that four students were kidnapped in the attack, creating panic among the student community.
“Some gunmen kidnapped four students outside campus yesterday evening. We have yet to hear from them. Everyone is in a panic mood because of the incident,” Lubem told the newspaper.

However, while confirming the abduction, the spokesperson for the Benue State Police Command, Sewuese Anene, stated that only two students were officially reported missing.
“We received the information yesterday evening that two students were kidnapped. We have commenced an investigation, and further details will be provided soon,” Anene said.
