Four out of seven surveyors drowned after their boat sank into a river, Wednesday evening, in Ekiti.
The suveyors from the Development Dams and Irrigation Schemes in Kaduna were on official duty at the Egbe Ekiti Dam in Gbonyin Local Government area of the state when the incident happened.
The three who survived the accident were putting on life jackets, a statement from the Nigeria Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, said.
They were rescued by local fishermen, fire fighters and the police.
