Four priests abducted by unknown gunmen in Delta
Four Catholic priests have been abducted by unknown gunmen in Umutu/Abraka village of Ethiope East LGA of Delta State, police confirm.
The Reverend fathers, reports say, were travelling to Benin from Warri when they were attacked by armed men and taken to an unknown place on Tuesday.
Police say the vehicle carrying the unnamed priests had been recovered by the anti-kidnapping operatives.
Delta State Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Mustafa, confirmed on Wednesday that efforts to rescue the priests were ongoing.
