Former Ivory Coast national team player is missing
On Friday, December 11, Steve Gohouri attended his German club’s Christmas party. Afterwards he left to see his family in Paris. But the 34-year-old defender has yet to arrive.
His family has filed a missing person’s report, German police confirmed.
Following spells in France, Switzerland, Greece and England, Gohouri is currently on contract with four division German side TSV Steinbach.
The German club, located north of Frankfurt, has also confirmed his disappearance in a post on its website.
“So far, we have no leads but bear in mind that as an adult, he is entitled to do what he wants,” police say.
Gohouri was an unused squad member of the Ivory Coast national team that played at the 2010 World Cup. He made his debut for the team in 2006..
