Flying Eagles: Defending champions Nigeria out of AFCON 2017
Defending champions Flying Eagles of Nigeria will not feature at the 2017 U20 African Cup of Nations.
The Nigerian boys were dumped out of the qualifying stage by Sudan.
Nigeria won the first leg 2-1 in Sudan but lost the return leg 3-4 at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, in Lagos on Saturday.
The games ended 5-5 on aggregate but Nigeria crashed out due to the away goal rule. Sudan scored more away goals.
The result caps a very embarrassing day for Nigerian sports plagued by reports Rio Olympics athletes were told to pay their way to the tournament.

Nigerian athletes at the Under-20 IAAF Championship in Poland also did badly after starving in Dubai for three days.
The athletes, who said “nobody cares about us”, arrived the venue after the female relay event already held.
Nigerians are not happy about these…
So Flying Eagles failed to qualify for the Under 20 championship? How's Amaju Pinnick still NFF chairman?

Even if all Nigerians gather together to support Flying Eagles we will still not win, we need a new feather or wings for them to fly again
