Egba chief was probably murdered for allegedly “sleeping around”
We definitely haven’t heard the last of the reported assassination of Chief Moses Alabi Oyebade who was allegedly murdered, Wednesday, in his Abeokuta home in Ogun State.
“We have examined the place and recovered an assassination note which contained a message written in both English and Yoruba languages,” police reportedly told local news medium, PM News.
“The content read: ‘useless man, Oni dokudo.’” (that means those who dropped the note there believed the chief was sleeping around with people they love…they believe he was promiscuous.)
The police continued…
“In our preliminary investigation, it could be a case of assassination but we will invite some people for interrogation.
“The State Police Commissioner, CP Valentine Ntomchukwu has directed that the case be transferred to the Department of Criminal Investigation.
“The perpetrators would not go scot -free,” the Commissioner of Police assured as he sympathized with the family, even, the Kabiyesi, the Alake of Egbaland..
