Edo House of Assembly Confirms Okoebor as Commissioner of Finance
The Edo State House of Assembly has confirmed Emmanuel Okoebor as the Commissioner for Finance. The confirmation of Okoebor, on Wednesday, comes after his screening by the House Committee on Rules, Business, and Government House, chaired by the Majority Leader, Charity Aiguobarueghian.
Okoebor was nominated by Governor Monday Okpebholo on Tuesday and the committee deemed Okoebor qualified for the position today according to Punch.
“The Edo House of Assembly, on Wednesday, confirmed Emmanuel Okoebor as Finance Commissioner following his nomination by Governor Monday Okpebholo.
“The committee found Okoebor to be educationally qualified and fit for the job and recommended that he be confirmed,” Aiguobarueghian said.
Okoebor now becomes only the third commissioner to be appointed in Edo state.
